2. To reduce the risk of electrical shock or injury to persons, do not expose to water or rain. Do not use in a window.
Plug unit into a 3-prong outlet. The Hi/Low/Off switch is located on the side of the unit. For best results, position the unit 6 to 8 inches from a wall. The unit does not need to be placed in the middle of the room. If mounting on a shelf, place unit with the air intake and return parallel to the wall.
Always unplug unit before changing filters.
DO NOT WASH FILTERS. ALL AIR FILTERS ARE DISPOSABLE.
To replace air filters, remove the 4-grid pins and grid.
The charcoal pad filter is located in front of the carbon panel, which is in front of the HEPA filter, and is black in color. The charcoal pad is disposable and cannot be vacummed or rinsed in water. Peel used filter away, discard, and replace with new charcoal pad. The charcoal pad filter should be replaced every 1 to 2 months.
The carbon panel is located behind the charcoal pad and in front of the HEPA filter, and should be replaced every 6 to 12 months. The carbon panel is disposable and cannot be vacummed or rinsed in water.
The HEPA filter is located behind the carbon panel. The HEPA filter is a 6"-deep metal box-like disposable filter that easily slides out of the unit. Pull the HEPA filter straight out, discard, and replace with a new HEPA. The HEPA cannot be vacummed or rinsed with water. The HEPA filter should be replaced every 6 to 12 months.
NOTE: The VHM-700 smoke eater comes with six (6) charcoal pads, one (1) carbon panel, and one (1) 6" Deep HEPA filter.
All filters are disposable and can be purchased directly from the smokeinator.com Products Page, or by calling 888-412-4372.
Always unplug unit before cleaning.
The outside of the cabinet can be cleaned with a damp cloth and wiped dry.
10-YEAR REPLACEMENT WARRANTY
The 10-year manufacturer's warranty is contingent on changing the HEPA filter at a minimum of once per year. Warranty covers everything on the unit, except for filters.
